The Academy Program: This program is perfect for dancers seeking exceptional training while balancing other extracurricular activities. The curriculum includes: *Vaganova-Based Classical Ballet: Foundational training in classical ballet technique. *Contemporary: Explores modern dance styles and improvisation. *Jazz: Focuses on dynamic movements and rhythm. *Acrobatics: Combines tumbling and flexibility with dance. *Tap: Develops rhythm and tap technique. *Hip-Hop: Features energetic street dance styles. *Performance Company: Offers competitive performance opportunities and advanced choreography. 2. Étoile by Burbank Dance Academy Program: Our elite after-school pre-professional program is designed for dedicated dancers aiming for intensive training and rapid advancement. The curriculum is crafted to maximize results in the shortest time, with: *Advanced Vaganova-Based Classical Ballet: In-depth ballet instruction for high-level technique and artistry. *Somatic Practice: Focuses on body awareness and conditioning to enhance performance and prevent injury. *Non-Classical Dance Genres: Includes Contemporary, Jazz, Acrobatics, Tap, and Hip-Hop, carefully integrated into the training. *Age and Ability Appropriate Pacing: Ensures that dancers progress at a rate suited to their development. 2. How do I register for a class?

3. Do you offer a trial class?

Yes! A trial class is a single, introductory session where new students can experience a dance class at our studio. It allows you to explore the teaching style, meet the instructor, and get a feel for the class environment and studio culture before committing to a full-term enrollment. Our trial classes are free and you can call us directly at 818-845-8856 or email us at info@burbankdanceacademy.com. You can also stop by the studio to set up in person. We recommend booking in advance as spots can fill up quickly.

4. What age groups do you accommodate?

We offer classes for all age groups, from 3 years old to 17 years old. Our classes are organized by age and skill level to ensure that everyone gets the most out of their dance experience.

5. Do I need prior dance experience?

We offer classes for all experience levels. Whether you're a complete beginner or have previous dance experience, we have classes suited for you.

6. What should I wear to ballet class?

For ballet class, students are expected to adhere to a specific dress code to maintain discipline and uniformity. Please wear:

  • Pink Tights: Essential for all ballet classes, ensuring that your lines and form are visible. (can be purchased at the studio)

  • Black Leotard: Provides a streamlined silhouette that allows instructors to observe your technique. (can be purchased at the studio)

  • Pink Ballet Shoes: Designed to complement your ballet attire and support your feet during movement.

  • Ballet Bun: Hair should be neatly secured in a ballet bun to keep it out of your face and maintain a professional appearance.

7. What should I wear to jazz and contemporary class?

For jazz and contemporary classes, the attire is slightly different:

  • Leotard or Sports Bra: Either is acceptable depending on your comfort and preference.

  • Black Tights or Leggings: These help maintain a clean, professional look and ensure that your movements are visible.

  • Jazz Shoes: Essential for providing the right support and flexibility for these styles.
