The Academy program offers the perfect blend of outstanding training and flexibility, providing dancers with a comprehensive curriculum that develops technical proficiency, artistry, and versatility — all within a nurturing and supportive environment.
This division is designed for the dancer still looking for elite training in conjunction with their other extracurricular activities. The curriculum consists of Vaganova-based classical ballet supplemented by carefully structured non-classical classes, including Contemporary, Jazz, Acrobatics, Tap, Hip-Hop, and our competitive Performance Company. Additional, non-classical classes are optional.

At BDA, we believe in teaching it right the first time, so every Academy dancer receives the same technically correct, age-appropriate instruction and attention to detail. The difference is not the quality of training—it is simply the number of hours and overall training commitment.
Beginning with Academy 3, all dancers are required to take ballet twice per week. This consistency allows dancers to build strength, retain corrections, and make meaningful technical progress throughout the season.
